First of all, we want to thank everyone that gave us input on our new names. We had hundreds of mailed in responses as well as hundreds of emailed responses. We also had many excellent suggestions. Interestingly, the top 3 names we suggested were mentioned on almost 70% of the responses.

In seeking God's final direction He reminded us that when He created the first family in Genesis He told them to be fruitful and multiply... in other words, to bring forth LIFE. We believe God has called 90.5 to do the same. "Family Radio 90.5" is giving birth to a new name... LIFE 90.5 FM... a name that expresses what 90.5 has been about from the very beginning proclaiming and bringing forth LIFE... God's LIFE to Southeastern NC. Everyday we're proclaiming eternal Life in Jesus Christ... everlasting, abundant and new life in Christ. We also proclaim that Jesus is The Way, The Truth and THE LIFE and that no one comes to the Father except through Him. Thus, LIFE 90.5 FM is our new name for our flagship FM radio station 90.5.

As a side note, the most popular listener response was for "Lighthouse Radio" but as we got further into this name change process we found that another Christian radio ministry had already trademarked that name. We have however included a Lighthouse in our new logo for 90.5 see below...

For our corporate name we felt we needed to go with a unique "regional" name to avoid confusion and future problems with other groups because of the proliferation of the internet, thus we have changed our corporate name to CAROLINA CHRISTIAN RADIO.

Thank you to all of you that wrote, emailed and have prayed for us through this process. There is still much work to be done, yet we look forward to all the Lord has for us as LIFE 90.5 FM and Carolina Christian Radio.
